I have 200 students that will be using DiLL, do I license the software on a per student basis?
DiLL is licensed on a per machine basis, however unlimited students may use one machine. Think of a lab of 30 machines. Each machine will require its own software license to DiLL, but unlimited students may share that lab.
Can I try DiLL out at my school before making a purchase?
Yes! We offer schools with Macs the ability to try DiLL out for free through our pilot program -- we'll provide trial software licenses, a loaner DiLL server, and teacher training.
Which licensing option should I choose?
Our aim is to provide you with licensing flexibility. If you're invested in your lab and know you'll have it for at least several years, you might be interested in our perpetual option. If your school's technology plan is in a state of transition, an annual license to DiLL might provide more flexibility for changes down the road.
What about installation and teacher training?
Installation and teacher training services are included with both the annual and perpetual plans, although we ask that schools cover our travel expenses for having those services performed onsite. Additional teacher training, via live webinar, is offered for free as part of our support services.
Is support included? What about software updates and upgrades?
DiLL Support, which includes technical email/phone support and software updates/upgrades, is included with our annual option and offered optionally with our perpetual option. New updates and software upgrades are automatically downloaded and installed, provided your school either has an active subscription to DiLL or is enrolled in our optional DiLL Support Plan (if your school has a perpetual license to DiLL).
